The term Clube da Esquina (The Corner Club) is used to describe both a movement and the collective of musicians, lyricists, poets and composers who formed or joined the movement, many of whom contributed to this album.

Released in March 1972 after a two-year gestation period, Clube turns up on all the Essential Records lists.

The tribute to this memorable album is made in a show with great Brazilian professional musicians residing in the UK and the participation of King’s Brazil Ensemble conducted by Vinicius de Carvalho, maestro, Director, King’s Brazil Institute, Kings College London.

Orchestral arrangement and performance: Gui Tavares.
