DIY Knowledge is an exhibition exploring self-education, information and news beneath the mainstream, imparting knowledge from margins.
DIY Knowledge is a multimedia group exhibition that explores DIY Cultures ongoing concerns with self-education, information and news beneath the mainstream, imparting knowledge from margins. It brings together creative worlds from Tanzania, Uganda, Palestine, Korea, 1980s Liverpool, Brexit campaigners and Chicago’s DIY scene.
What to Expect
The exhibition will feature short film, comics, infographics, digital art and zine archival collections. It features 6 new commissions and a DIY Knowledge Library of publications which people can add to throughout the exhibition.
A new short film commission and archival collection exploring how fanzines helped Hillsborough Justice and solidarity under Thatchers Britain.
