Kabir is recognised as one of the first rational voices to emerge from India. Committed to eradicating social inequality, he became a powerful symbol for self-respect amongst the lower classes.

The band brings his poetic works to life via folk infused with rock, pop, reggae and carnatic. Kabir Café have released three albums: Panchrang (2016), Kabir Cafe Live( 2018) and SABR (2022).
