In a nutshell
Yazmin Lacey brings her masterful songwriting and dazzling soulful vocals for her biggest show yet...
Having been discovered through the Brownswood Future Bubblers project, Yazmin Lacey’s modest beginnings of performing solo acoustic gigs seems like a distant memory. Her upwards trajectory brings her to Rich Mix for her biggest performance to date.
Black Moon EP was recorded in a makeshift living room studio and selected by Gilles Peterson to be BBC Radio 6’s Record of The Week (June 2017). It was produced by Yazmin and her band, talented multi-instrumentalists whose solo projects (Three Body Trio and Broadstrokes) are finding their own success. After numerous high profile collaborations (Warren Xlnce, Congi) and support slots (Daudi Matsiko, Fatima, Low Leaf), Black Moon is Yazmin’s first physical release and has already received airplay on NTS, Jazz FM, BBC 1xtra, BBC 1 BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 6, Radar Radio.
On what is surely a cornerstone in the rise of a star, this show is utterly unmissable. Don’t just believe the hype, come and see for yourself why this majestic songwriter has garnered huge acclaim.
Support act just announced! South London based producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Wu-Lu
Yazmin Lacey will be bringing her band: Pete Beardsworth (keys), Tom Towle (drums), George French (bass), Charlie Bone (guitar), and Owen Campbell (Latin percussion).
