This festival is the culmination of workshops exploring poetry, animation and filmmaking techniques, where participating pupils created stories exploring ideas of the future and imagining what the world they will inherit may be like.

After lots of creativity and hard work, the students are ready to premiere their work on our big screen! The films will then be made available online for family, friends and fans to enjoy, and will be shown in our new exhibition space The Lab from 6 Jul. Watch this space for more updates!

This event is invite-only for participating schools and project partners. For more information about the Pic ‘n’ Mix programme, contact our Film Education Officer Max Dickter at max.dickter@richmix.org.uk.

THE CHILDREN LOVED SEEING THEMSELVES ON THE BIG SCREEN! IT WAS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO WORK TOWARDS A REAL OUTCOME THAT THE CHILDREN WERE PROUD OF. THE INDEPENDENCE THEY SHOWED IN THE FILM MAKING PROCESS DEVELOPED THEIR RESILIENCE AND THEIR TEAM WORKING SKILLS.
