In a nutshell
Fancy Chance's debut solo show: a globe-trotting, time-travelling mini-spectacle – with turbulent polemics and unexpectedly poignant stop-offs
Fancy Chance invites you aboard her debut solo show - taking you from her humble origins as Korean refugee to darling of the London cabaret scene. In-flight entertainment will include offbeat comedy, original song, and outrageous film. Directed by Nathan Evans.
Fancy’s work incorporates burlesque, drag, circus, and live art. In 2009 she was crowned ‘Alternative Miss World’ and in 2010 ‘London’s Top Tranny’. She was also shortlisted for ‘Best Alternative Performer’ in London Cabaret Awards 2013, was recently part of Live Lates for Penny Woolcock’s Utopia and is currently collaborating on Carnesky’s Incredible Bleeding Woman.
What to Expect
Fancy’s goal is to perform acts that dazzle and delight with comic characters and satire to the max whether goose stepping as Kim Jong Il or stripping down to tasseling sensation! She’s produced and directed the sell-out show “BurlyQ Revue” in 2005 and “BurlyQ Pageant” in 2006 as one of the first runs of a Neo burlesque show in Europe. She is a former member of the Fire Tusk Pain Proof Circus and French Kicks Can-Can and continues to develop her own infectious mixture of comedic vaudeville and ecdysiast entanglements.
