For eight weeks in February and March 2022, Rich Mix are partnering with photographer Simon Wheatley, author of Don’t Call Me Urban! The Time of Grime to bring the best young photography talent in Tower Hamlets to light. A group of ten promising photographers will be mentored by Simon over the eight weeks. Their photos will then be exhibited at Rich Mix in April as part of the launch of Lost Dreams, Simon’s forthcoming book which remembers the role youth clubs played in the evolution of early Grime culture.

This project is part of Rich Mix Resonates, a new initiative bringing local people together with artists to co-create culture for our main programme. You must be aged 18-35 and live in Tower Hamlets to apply.

To apply, please fill in the form below (or upload a video of yourself answering the questions) and provide a link to a portfolio of 15-20 images that showcase your work.

The deadline for applications is 5pm, 31 Jan 2022.

Supported by the Tower Hamlets Council Mayor’s COVID Recovery Fund.
