We’ll be cooking up a series of games, music and art workshops leading up to Mwalimu Express events in October, November and December. The workshops highlight different elements of Mwalimu Express:
The Game – OWARE – Seth and the Oware Society will lead workshops exploring Oware, the oldest board game in the world. It is a compelling game of numbers and strategy – learn to play the game or hone your skills
The Music – Mwalimu Express DJ Rita will explore musical connections from an African perspective leading to a soundscape of songs, memories, and new connections
The Art – painting sessions with exciting artists, in collaboration with the Rich Mix team
Participants are welcome to come along on their own, or as part of a group. All sessions are also open to befrienders, friends or family who would like to attend alongside a participant they know who is taking part.

Workshops take place weekly across eight Thursdays in Oct – Dec, from 11AM – 12.30PM.

Mwalimu Express events take place on the first Sunday of each month Oct-Dec. All sessions take place at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Rd, London E1 6LA.
