Numbi returns with an evening celebrating Somali culture and heritage exploring the art of navigation – both celestial and terrestrial climes – in language, poetry and astronomy through portals of spoken word, poetry, music and dance.

Under the wintery night we take the lead from Rumi and say ‘Be The Sky’, echoing the traditions of the great Somali wordsmiths of Qaraam. Guiding us through the evening of poetics and poethics are our stellar lineup of artists. Our shining stars are Numbi resident artists and special guests, including headliners: Somali-American singer/songwriter and musician Rayzak, Somali -born, UK based singer/ songwriter FACESOUL, London-based multi-instrumentalist producer DJ Elmi, with The Grand Union Orchestra Re:Generation Band musicians in support, alongside Canab Cuud Troupe and the illustrious poet Asha Lul Mohamed.

Join us as we launch our new Numbi programme and theme for 2023.
