Firmly rooted in East London since 2006, we are one of the capital’s most diverse and dynamic arts centres. We are a creative hub. We champion artists with something to say. We bring communities and artists together. In a rapidly changing city, we are here – everyday, for everyone.

We are creative. We nurture all forms of creativity.

While we’ve all been through this year together, the pandemic has not affected us equally. Many of our communities are feeling isolated and struggling with the changes caused by coronavirus and this year’s lockdowns.

We believe in art and creativity as a transformational force for good, and we want to people to feel a sense of community and togetherness, even if there are times when we can’t meet in person.
As an organisation we’ve used our time away from our usual programming to regroup and take stock of how we can best meet the needs of our local community.
The result is a new programme of creative education and wellbeing events, from a Black History School to self-care sessions, a chance for the over 60s to explore memories of East London, opportunities for young people interested in a career in the creative industries, plus lots of active and playful sessions for local families.
We want to nurture the next generation of artists. We want to continue to come together through creativity. We want to provide some joy to help us through feelings of isolation and loss.

Donate today to help us to deliver our Take Part programme, transforming East London lives through the power of creativity.
