We are open to everyone, and work hard to reflect and cater to diverse communities in our artistic programme.

Our venue’s spaces  – The Stage, The Studio, The Mix and The Mezzanine Gallery – are programmed by our Head of Programmes, Josh McNorton and are typically booked 4-6 months in advance.

What we are interested in receiving

We are happy to receive submissions from emerging and professional artists, producers, companies, charities and community groups.

We programme all artforms – theatre, dance, spoken word, comedy, visual arts, talks and workshops. We also programme live music, however we rarely book music shows with artists directly and we prefer to partner with local music promoters.

Our overarching programming theme from 2018-22 is Culture for a Changing City. This theme emerged directly from our mission – to inspire the communities of the world who live in London to come together, make debate and experience art. We are particularly excited by submissions that tie in with this theme, alongside work that directly relates to or is rooted within our home of east London and the borough of Tower Hamlets.

The best way to understand our programme is by coming to an event! See our What’s On section for upcoming events.
