After a successful run of Translation Circle poetry workshops in 2021, we are back with four more sessions. Last year, we translated Bengali, Sylheti, Urdu and Igbo poetry to English, and this year we will be focusing on translating Spanish, Polish and Farsi poetry. There is a plan for these poems to be part of a Poetry Anthology published by BBPC.

Why are these workshops special?
- Anyone interested in learning about these languages, this provides a unique way to ‘taste’ the sounds and meaning via poetry.
- Translation of any literature often gives a glimpse into another culture.
- To non-native English speakers, this will give you an opportunity to understand and practice spoken and written English.
- If you attend all four workshops then you will be credited in the published anthology.
