Unskinny Bop is a queer disco established in Bethnal Green in 2004 by two old lesbians who love pop music of all persuasions. You are likely to hear some old fashioned rock&roll abruptly followed by some noughties R’n’B, shouty girls, or a camp classic. Our core values are earnestness, dancing with wild abandon, being lovely to strangers and wearing whatever the hell you like. At the Bop no homophobia, transphobia, racism, fatphobia or any other nastiness is tolerated – please speak to DJs or door staff if you encounter issues.
