Through the story of her dramatic life, Devi – Tale of Tawaifs presents a haunting musical landscape of Bengal featuring historical figures such as polymath Rabindranath Tagore, composer Atulprasad Sen, and singer-musicologist Dilipkumar Roy.

Directed by leading Indian Classical vocalist Chandra Chakraborty, this hypnotic production of classical music, classical dance, acting and spoken word narrates the legacy of the songs of Tawaifs (courtesans) in Bengal.
