Empowering through knowledge and celebration is one of the primary tenets of the festival, which aims to bring heartwarming stories to film loving audiences.

Starting in 2017, Women Of The Lens Film Festival highlights the experiences and achievements of filmmakers, meanwhile showcasing courageous stories from underrepresented women.

The Women Of The Lens 2024 programme will include narratives about women and girls in science and technology; women cutting a strong swathe of progress for East African filmmakers; families making peace with grief; technology being a foreground for finding love – and much more.
