This International Women’s Day, join us to speak up—loud and unapologetic. Let’s take our voices to the streets!
This two-part workshop brings the hopes, struggles, and unheard voices of women facing mental health challenges into the public space through street art. In a society that often overlooks our experiences, we will transform personal stories into a bold, visual statement, as an act of resistance, empowerment, and solidarity.
Using paste-up street art, we will co-create an artwork that amplifies our voices and reclaims public space with a message that demands to be seen. It will be displayed on one of Rich Mix Community Garden’s walls.
The workshop will be led by critically acclaimed Latina street artist, Paloma Rodríguez.
We Are Heard! Street Art is part of a series of six creative workshops designed to help women develop and amplify their voices through different art forms. Produced by Mental Creations in partnership with St Margaret’s House, each workshop offers a unique way to explore self-expression, from writing to performance. Check out the full programme and find the workshops that speak to you at the Mental Creations Instagram.
Please note: The Street Art sessions take place here at Rich Mix on Sat 8 Mar and Sun 9 Mar. All other workshops as part of We Are Heard! are held at St Margaret’s House (E2 9PL).
