From March to June 2024, ten East Asian queer individuals discovered the power of filmmaking through the ‘Queer Across the Waves’ filmmaking project, transforming their personal stories into visual poetry. 

These films explore the fluid space where ‘belonging’ and ‘becoming’ intertwine, weaving together threads of cultural identity, searching for desires, and human connection. Join us in witnessing these powerful narratives of the Chinese-speaking queer diaspora, and share your own reflections in the conversations that follow.
