This exhibition invites artists from Vietnam, the diaspora, and the wider ESEA community in the UK to reimagine what the poster for these films could have been, whether drawing on existing visuals or responding through memory, aesthetic, critique, or love. Some reinterpret classic posters; others create new ones where none ever existed.
Rooted in the spirit of joy, reinvention, and resistance, Rewind & Reframe is more than a nostalgic look back, it’s an invitation to see these films anew, and to honour how they moved through generations, screens, and lives.
Each A1-sized giclee poster will be available via limited silent auction during the festival. The winning bidders will receive the only signed A1 print edition by each artist, with sales closing on 31 August, the final day of Star Nhà Ease season across the UK.
