One BIG DEAF DAY where Deaf and HoH humans are the majority, not the minority. Deaf community. Deaf connection. Deaf culture. Come and join!

Events throughout the day include:

  • Appearances from Deaf Chef, Deaf rap artist MC Geezer, ParaCheer athlete Sophie Byers; breakdancer Roshan, ‘Deaf Diva’ Geeraii, children’s entertainer Auslan With David and more
  • Sign Song sessions with @SignWithHope, Jino, and Sign Music
  • Taster DJ-ing and VJ-ing lessons from DJ Chinaman, aka Troi Lee MBE, DJ Jeffo, VJ Outlaw and crew
  • Try out tech-enabled vests that allow you to WEAR and FEEL music in the Woojer Zone
  • Interact with snakes, chameleons, owls and spiders in the petting zoo
  • Learn circus skills from mime artist Deaf Mimo and the Deaf Juggler
  • Join a drumming circle led by Miriam Dubois
  • Beat the high scores in the Pop-up Arcade: a gamer’s paradise
  • Bubble shows, bouncy castles, face painting, hair braiding, a glitter station, arts and crafts, and toddler soft play
  • Chat to exhibitors about new resources and services for the Deaf and HoH community of all ages
  • Chill out in the Sensory Room: a relaxing chill-out zone for neurodiverse guests and anyone who needs a breather
