Join us for An Island of Solidarity, not an Island of Strangers, a powerful community-led exhibition showcasing banners created by participants from their Embrace: A Collective Voice project. Through art, storytelling, and reflection, Embrace amplifies the voices of those with lived experiences of otherness—highlighting their struggles, resilience, and visions for change. The exhibition centres the perspectives of global majority communities, particularly North African, Arab and Latin American diasporas, using creativity as a tool for social justice, identity, and representation.
The exhibition will run from Fri 24 Oct – Thur 27 Nov.

About Noria
Noria is a collective of socially engaged creatives promoting community cohesion, representation, and visibility for global majority diasporas—particularly North African/Arab and Latin American communities. Co-founded by Sandy Abdelrahman and JC Candanedo, Noria takes its name from the word noria (meaning “waterwheel” in Arabic, Catalan, and Spanish) —a symbol of transformation and shared heritage. Just as a noria harnesses the flow of water to generate power, our collective channels community energy into meaningful social and cultural change.
