Adapted from Kahlil Joseph‘s highly acclaimed video art installation, which was shown at the Venice Biennale in 2019, the film interweaves fiction and history in an immersive journey. One where the fictionalised figures of W. E. B Du Bois and Marcus Garvey join artists, musicians, Joseph’s family, and even Twitter chats, in an immersive story that spans 247 years across land and sea.
