Jason (Timothy Granaderos) is desperate to keep his mother alive by any means, so when a not-dodgy-at-all scientist (played by genre icon Doug Jones) sells him an unconventional remedy promising to heal and extend the lifespan of anyone who takes it, Jason is in While the remedy works, it also gives Maria an insatiable appetite for live meat – and Jason must provide. Meanwhile, his sister Rachel senses evil and turns to spells to expel it from their home. The siblings, while both desperate to keep their mother alive, clash over their approach, discovering what is truly haunting their home and their family.
In the second collaboration between director Alex Kahuam and writer Daniel Kuhlman, The Remedy is an unflinching and increasingly unhinged journey between reality, nightmare and family trauma.
