As the war in Gaza escalates, Rania goes into high-risk labour with triplets. One girl dies at birth. Siblings Jowan and Hamoud survive, but acute health complications lead to a need for in-hospital care. When their hospital is evacuated, the infant twins are moved to southern Gaza, while Rania is trapped by travel bans in place in the north.
Mohammed Sawwaf’s deeply moving doc chronicles a mother’s plight to be reunited with her children amongst the destruction of war, while also exposing the cruelty of withholding basic healthcare for families at times of unspeakable violence.
