The Bionic Awards is a new independent festival that celebrates creativity in the age of AI.

We champion the creators, technologists and agencies who break boundaries, from cinematic shorts to influencer campaigns. Ahead of the main awards event in March 2026, this special showcase brings the spirit of Bionic to the stage at Rich Mix.

Expect exclusive screenings, behind-the-scenes insights and an audience Q&A with some of the world’s hottest AI talent. Bionic is where culture, code and brands collide. This is a rare chance to meet some of these trailblazing creatives in person and stay for drinks afterwards.

Featuring:

Afro Futcha (Diane Laidlaw) Internationally recognised AI filmmaker and a proud Londoner. Afro gave a recent TED AI talk on the future of cinema and is a judge of The Bionic Awards.

Ricardo Fredro co-founder of Anima Studios in Milan, Ricardo won the 2025 Cannes AI Film Festival and will debut new work at this special Bionic event.

Ryan Phillips, a true AI rockstar, who creates unparalleled visual narratives as Uncanny_Harry. This BAFTA-nominated ex-BBC film director now collabs with Hollywood studios.
