Based on real events, Leesa Gazi’s debut feature follows the turbulent life of Dipa. Raised by a weak and ineffectual father, she is controlled by her uncle who forces her to marry a widower in England. After suffering abuse at his hands, Dipa runs away and returns to Bangladesh where she faces new obstacles in her attempt to establish a life on her own terms.
