Young actress Alex is violently raped at a New Year’s party, but cannot see the face of her attacker. In the aftermath, she seeks comfort and support from her brother Adrian, whose kneejerk judgemental reaction only further burdens her with guilt.
Their relationship, now irrefutably changed, gets murkier and murkier as Adrian becomes consumed with rage, and Alex distances herself further from reality and deeper into playing the role of Medea on stage. A superbly paced and acted feature debut, Fury surgically broaches questions of shame, guilt, and impotency as director Gemma Blasco confidently escalates tension to a boiling point.
