Waiting for a hunk to scoop us up from the bottom of a public pool, or realising the worst about your partner after being trapped in a private sauna. Our encounters with God, the Other, the unexplained, whether in the dense Cuban rainforest or a crowded French train. BRIEF ENCOUNTERS brings together the best in contemporary short films, asking a simple question: who might we meet next?
