Five shorts show us that the one thing we cannot do is escape loss. Looking into the great beyond, in search of the departed, we often find ourselves – or each other. A group of old friends laugh and joke their way through their grief, two cousins bicker over their grandmother’s ashes and a filmmaker searches for projects to bury himself in instead of facing his loss.

We may have been left behind, but we’re all in this together.
