Two newly commissioned works adopt the tingling sensorial form of ASMR (Auto Sensory Meridian Response). This divisive online phenomena is explored through moving image, dance and gender performativity, looking to how we physically express our interiority.
A world premiere of new moving image work from Peter Strickland (In Fabric) is preceded by a unique performance piece by Figs In Wigs (“waggishly devoted to the OTT…” – The Guardian), both bringing varied and personal responses to the internet’s favourite peculiarity. Our evening’s host Nwando Ebizie (Distorted Constellations, Lady Vendredi) is on hand to guide your ASMR journey, with classic YouTube pieces setting the tone of the evening.
