Neuroscience shows us that human beings are neurobiologically wired to connect with one another, so investing time and energy to build and maintain our social network is essential for our mental health and wellbeing, especially during a pandemic.
Run by Khudaija Ismail, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner from the NHS Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies team, this session will address the difficult topic of isolation and offer practical solutions for making and maintaining connections within our community.
In this workshop we will:
- identify the challenges generated by the lockdown restrictions, especially isolation
- learn about the 5 aspects of building resilience
- learn practical ways to build new connections and maintain the existing ones
- discover a full list of interesting and fun community projects available in East London and how to join them, making new meaningful connections in the process
This is a free online event. Please make sure you have a laptop or tablet with a good internet connection to get the most out of the session.
