Following two sold out nights in October, Side eYe Productions returns with Dugsi Dayz – a comedic adaptation of The Breakfast Club, written by Sabrina Ali.

It’s a Saturday afternoon and four students have ended up at dugsi detention, reasons unknown. Meet Salma, Yasmin, Munira and Hani, four girls who see the world and their place in it in radically different ways. The hour they spend together allows them to realise that they have more in common than they thought. What did they each do to deserve detention? Apparently, getting to know one another is the only way to find out…

After her recent work in HOME and Muna Knows It All, Sabrina Ali collaborates with old and new members of the Side eYe company in this light-hearted exploration of friendship between Somali girls.

Hilarious, authentic and shows the sheer beauty and power of Somali storytelling.
