Between Oct-Dec 2019 women on the Muslim Girls Fence project at the Whitechapel Idea Store planned and constructed a 3D model of their ‘utopian’ version of Tower Hamlets, answering these very questions. The project – a national collaboration between the charity, Maslaha, and British Fencing – created a space for women to discuss their experiences on their own terms, especially those relating to their local area.
