LOLA MC, the London Latin Music Conference unites the London Latin Music business for a day of ideas exchange at Rich Mix. In the evening we host a public showcase for emerging artists from London’s vibrant Latin scene.
This second edition of the one-day conference brings together everyone with a professional interest in the creation, presentation, promotion and distribution of Latin Music in the UK and is an event for musicians, DJs, dancers, promoters, venues, labels, distributors, media and the wider network of support organisations that link us.
Through a day of panels, discussions, workshops and networking, LoLa MC aims to check the temperature of Latin Music in London and look at the issues affecting us all in the Latin Music industry, including Covid-19, women in Latin Music, funding and entering the mainstream.
Panellists include Gilles Peterson from BBC 6 Music and Brownswood Recordings, Amy Lamé, London’s Night Czar ,and representatives of UK Music, Live Nation, Music Venues Trust, Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, Greater London Authority and London Latin musicians. There will also be live showcase performances from some of the UK’s best Latin music acts.
