Yarrow Films presents Memories from Tower Hamlets Sat 12 Oct – Thu 24 Oct

This project brought together residents of Tower Hamlets from across generations to share their memories and stories of living in the borough. Residents participated in oral history recordings, photography walks, creative writing sessions, and filmmaking workshops.

This exhibition showcases the photographs, writings, audio recordings, and films produced by the group. Some of their work is inspired by photographs and documents from the Tower Hamlets Local History and Archive, drawing connections between the past and present.

From socially engaged stories to personal films, Memories of Tower Hamlets offers a glimpse into the lives of those who call it home. Their collaboratively created works present powerful and intimate perspectives, celebrating the area’s heritage and the voices that contribute to its evolving narrative.
