Explore rhythms and culture from around the world, and turn stories of journeys (real and imagined) into new songs. Leading to a celebratory performance on the afternoon of Thursday. Join music and performance students from the BIMM Institute and friends for an immersive creative workshop of singing, dancing and making – designed for families to enjoy together.

Make new friends, build confidence, improve wellbeing and have lots of fun through movement games, music-making and collective play. No experience necessary! Bring a shaker, percussive toys and your imagination! Come prepared wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

Part of a series of workshops exploring rhythms, sounds, words and movements of Caribbean, Latin American and Carnival culture. Lots of fun, and a great way to learn for children and the young at heart!

Suitable for children aged 5+ (families with babies welcome).

Please note: the session on Thu 6 Apr will run till 3PM.

The team who delivered the workshop were extremely welcoming, energetic and passionate. We loved travelling around the Caribbean through traditional songs and beats!
