Our second cohort will explore the themes of solidarity, resistance, decoloniality, hope, and healing through a series of multi-disciplinary and creative workshops. The project seeks to recognise the current social and geopolitical context through the lens of a global majority diaspora, and to come together to learn, reflect and tell stories through various creative mediums.

Participants will be led through a co-creation process featuring an incredible lineup of guest facilitators exploring creative mediums such as photography, poetry, writing, sound, art, and making techniques to therapeutic, performance, and movement-based workshops. A holistic and intergenerational approach is at the heart of what we do and participants from all walks of life and creative experiences are encouraged to apply.

The programme will culminate with the cohort producing, programming, and presenting their work at a public event at Rich Mix on Sun 9 Jun.

Roots and Endz is a co-curated project and series of events exploring contemporary South Asian culture and the intergenerational, intersectional impact of colonisation, supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
