Participatory theatre experiences are often ideal for producing conditions of scaffolded intimacy between actors and participants. Digital games are ideal for producing robust interactive experiences at scale. At the crossroads of these two forms of participatory media, might it be possible to explore varieties of scaled intimacy? Could digital games capture what participatory theatre does best and vice versa?
Join ZU-UK and T.A.G. (Concordia, Montréal) for an afternoon of presentations, workshop sessions, and panel discussions on the intersection of participatory theatre and games. There will also be performance and game studies, and social play and interaction design.
Entry is free for ZU-UK’s Binaural Dinner Date ticket holders.
