Witness seven artists from migrant and refugee backgrounds as they weave music, dance and film to address themes of home, displacement and migration.

After two weeks in residence, living and working as a team, this event marks the first sharing of The Green Room Collective’s collaboration. Experience a powerful synthesis of strings, movement and spoken word!

A celebration of diversity and a dialogue of difference, the performers include:

  • Angela Hui Wai Nok (percussion & composition)
  • Hossein Mirzagholi (bass, vocals & composition)
  • Mahshid Alavi (dance & movement)
  • Preetha Narayanan (violin & composition)
  • Deeptarka Mukhopadhyay (tabla, dholak & dhol & composition)

The day festival kicks off at 3pm with panel discussions and screenings on borders, home and sanctuary, culminating with The Green Room Collective’s landmark performance at 7.30pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking and inspiring event.

Daytime Programme (3pm – 6pm) – with Soumik Datta, The Green Room Collective, and guest artists from Good Chance and PROJEKT EUROPA.

  • Panel Discussion & Screening 2 – Bridging Borders: the role of the arts in celebrating diversity, providing refuge, and platforming migrant and refugee voices.
