The LBTH Primary Schools Film Festival is the result of a programme of workshops run by filmmakers from Chocolate Films, focused on working with pupils and their teachers to make films.

The workshops offered experience of working with professional artists at a high level and for teachers to put into practice skills and knowledge achieved from CPD training. The films, screened on the professional screens at Rich Mix, present a wide range of ideas and techniques, including a variety of animation styles and approaches to documentary films.

These lively Tower Hamlets Stories are informative, thought provoking and endearing. The festival film will also be put online for friends and family to share afterwards. Watch this space!

The children loved seeing themselves on the big screen! It was a fantastic opportunity to work towards a real outcome that the children were proud of. The independence they showed in the film making process developed their resilience and their team working skills.
