We believe that all humans are creative so the session is open to anyone who engages in creative activities. The main focus is caring for our creatives who inspire and stimulate our minds and enchant our hearts with the wonderful things they bring into the world.
Their creativity contributes to our wellbeing but what about their wellbeing?
In this session, our guests Khudaija Ismail, psychological wellbeing practitioner at NHS Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies and Dr Tamara Russell, neuroscientist and clinical psychologist will offer valuable tools for self care and building resilience.
In the first part (6-7pm) Khudaija will offer us:
- cognitive behavioural therapy techniques for dealing with rejection;
In the second part (7-8pm) Tamara will introduce us to:
- the neuroscience of creativity and what actually happens with our brains when we engage in creative activities;
- a deeper understanding of the state of FLOW, being “in the zone”, a highly creative state that can generate original ideas;
- what gets in the way and what enhances the creative brain mode, enablers and derailers of FLOW;
- the connection between mindfulness and creativity;
- tools to build resilience and follow through with our creative endeavours.
