Who Am I? is an evocative dance performance that delves deep into the existential journey of a wandering soul, grappling with the intricate tapestry of identity and purpose. Our protagonist, adorned in the many roles of daughter, mother, wife, and more, navigates through the complex of societal expectations and familial bonds, questioning where their true self lies. Through expressive movements and profound introspection, they explore whether identity is anchored in these external roles or in something far deeper.
Venturing further into the philosophical realms, the protagonist seeks answers about the origins of human life and the very nature of existence. The duality of good and evil becomes a focal point of their contemplation, as they question if these forces are distinct or reflections of the same divine consciousness. Inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the wisdom of Lalon, they embrace the philosophy of non-duality, recognising the divine essence within themselves.
Through symbolic and emotive dance, the protagonist portrays the odyssey from nothingness to completeness, celebrating the interconnectedness of all beings and the eternal truths that bind us.
