THE STAGE:
Experience a Pan-African diaspora marketplace featuring Aso Global, AfiAkos, SANYAN Clothing, and African Chica. Plus, film screenings from Re-Imagining Futures filmmakers, and panel discussions centred in Afro-philosophies, hosted by majestic special guest Marvina Newton.
THE MIX:
Join us for panel discussions exploring decolonial education, creative business, interactive permaculture, and independent art production.
THE STUDIO:
Shake a leg, with us in workshops on African storytelling and dance, with music sessions led by griot master musicians Koroleko Moussa Denbele (Burkina Faso), Denbis Thioung (Senegal), and Senegalese Sabar dancer Aida Diop. Followed by performances by Dark Matter Black scratch theatre and dancers.
Throughout the day, there will be site-specific pop-up performances within and outside the venue by the Grand Union Regeneration Orchestra and InForMotion Dancers. As well as art exhibitions celebrating the contemporary and ancestral heritage and the stories and legacy of Village101.
