Anim18 and The Light Surgeons ask “How do we see music?” with a audiovisual evening exploring the theme of visual music and animation.
Featuring live performances and new film work created through a two day intensive workshop in collaboration with a mixture of hearing and participants from the deaf community, this event will also discuss the outcome and future of their experimentation.
Performances will feature opto-musical agglomerate Sculpture, cymatics artist Zach Walker, the slug porn inspired animations of Emily Scaife and improvisations by The Light Surgeons themselves: audio visual artist’s Tim Cowie and Christopher Thomas Allen.
Sound In Pictures is part of Anim18, a celebration of British Animation led by Film Hub Wales and Chapter and has been developed in collaboration with Live Cinema UK.
