Micro-Commissions gives young artists the space and freedom to develop ideas. We encourage artists of all genres to take creative risks without pressure to produce a complete show.
As part of the programme we offer access to free rehearsal space and technical support, mentoring from our producers and artists and a small production budget.
We invite artists to respond to the question of what it means to make locally rooted work inspired by the community of Tower Hamlets. During our TAKEOVER festival, each of the Micro-Commission artists will share a short excerpt of their exploration in front of supportive live audience and receive feedback.
