For their next event, part of Rich Mix Resonates, they are running a series of creative workshops to support local people from Tower Hamlets to be at the heart of the next Mehfil event, which takes place on 3 Dec. Daytimers are working alongside other amazing collectives with a zine being produced that resonates with the spirit of Mehfil and building together as a community as well as talks and a very special event towards the end of the year.

Are you interested in exploring poetry, spoken word, and art? Do you want to contribute to a zine that will be specially-commissioned for this project and given out at the event? Are you looking to learn more about everything that goes into making events like Mehfil possible?

While Daytimers primarily support and celebrate artists and audiences from the South Asian diaspora, they welcome and encourage applications from all people regardless of background or heritage. Tower Hamlets has a rich history of people from all walks of life and they want to amplify and celebrate that as much as they can in every space.

Sessions are free to attend, and take place weekly on Saturdays from 24 Sep–3 Dec, 1pm–3pm.

If you would like the opportunity to be connected with this creative project, please fill out the short form below to register your interest.

Applications close on Wed 5 Oct
