From Fri 12 Jul, we welcome Despicable Me 4 to our screens – the latest addition to the now iconic franchise.

Following an escape from his incarceration, supervillain Maxine Le Mal (Will FerrellElf, The Other Guys) and his girlfriend Valentina (Sofía VergaraModern Family, Chef) seek revenge on Gru (Steve CarrellThe Office, Crazy Stupid Love) and his family, including his baby son. Gru is forced to relocate where they meet their new neighbours, the Prescott’s, and their daughter Poppy, who join forces to even the odds.

Promising hilarious-fun and a healthy dose of minion-fuelled mayhem, Despicable Me 4 looks to be the family blockbuster of the year.

Then, from Fri 19 Jul, we welcome the long-anticipated Twisters to our screens – marking the return of Lee Isaac Chung to the director’s chair since 2020’s beautiful Minari.

As storm season intensifies, the paths of former storm chaser Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar JonesNormal People, Where the Crawdads Sing) and reckless social media superstar Tyler Owens (Glen PowellTop Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You) collide when terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed over central Oklahoma. Acting as a standalone sequel to 1996’s Twister, the disaster-thriller focuses on nature at its most cataclysmic, and coupled with Top Gun: Maverick’s director Joseph Kosinski writing the original story, it promises to be an epic big-screen spectacle.

Rounding out the month, from Thu 25 Jul, we welcome back Hugh Jackman’s (The Greatest Showman, Prisoners) iconic character for (surely?) his last big screen appearance, with Deadpool & Wolverine.

Wade Wilson (Ryan ReynoldsThe Proposal, Free Guy) now lives a quiet life after the events of Deadpool 2, however, the Time Variance Authority pulls him into a new mission, and with his home universe facing an existential threat, Wilson joins an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission that will change the history of the MCU. Last sharing the screen since their iconic fight in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine; these best of enemies promise to provide the action blockbuster of the Summer.

Blockbusters aside, on Thu 18 July we welcome a very special screening of NT Live: Present Laughter.

This modern adaptation of Noël Coward’s provocative comedy stars Andrew Scott, in an Olivier Award-winning performance no less, as star Actor Garry Essendine who is preparing to embark on an overseas tour. But, his few remaining days at home quickly spiral out of control into a whirlwind of love, sex, panic and soul-searching.Back on screens for the first time since a sold-out run in 2019, don’t miss your chance to see this 5-star play.
