Slip into something cosy and get ready to snuggle up on bean bags and cushions, indulging in an evening of magical performances. With a line up of exciting, established and emerging artists, this intersectional night bridges the gap between artist communities.
Joana Nastari
Cuddle up for a deep listening party of Jo’s brand new audio play WORK, produced by Soundworlds and directed by Beth Pitts.
WORK is a reimagining of writer and performer Jo’s debut play Fuck You Pay Me, which enthralled audiences and smashed stereotypes back in 2019 with its deeply nuanced, furiously political and frequently hilarious exploration of sex work.
Playing with the real and imagined intimacies of the strip club and theatre, WORK invites the listener to share main character Holly’s world in intimate detail, with richly textured ASMR-inspired sound design and a banging favela-funk score by DJ and composer Charlotte Bickley that carries us, through the night’s adrenaline-fuelled highs and crushing lows, to the commute home.
Maedb Joy and Rosie Webb
Both graduates from one of the world’s leading drama and music schools, Maedb and Rosie have been collaborating for years, creating an innovative and exciting hybrid of music and poetry. They will be performing never-heard-before work, exploring addiction, work, and navigating life as emerging artists in London.
Carmen Ali
Carmen Ali presents a set of song, poetry and comedy, exploring what it means to exist as both an artist and a sex worker. Her work has been featured by The BBC, Time Out and the Institute of Contemporary Arts.
