Hirut lives in Nazareth with her fiancé, Azmari (a folk music adept). The two dream of getting married but are subjected to varied abominable treatment from their families. Tensions are raised further when, due to an unexpected accident, they are forced to live apart, leading Hirut to fall into temptation and challenge.

Her love for Azmari remains genuine, but will she be able to resist temptation to save their marriage?

Produced by the Association of Country Film and Advertisement, ‘Hirut, who is her Father?‘ is considered to be Ethiopia’s first feature-length film.
