PalCom is a Palestinian-UK collaboration, fusing comic traditions from both cultures. They support Palestinian comedians to create stand-up comedy and tour in Palestine and beyond.
In advance of their evening performances at the PalArt Festival, comedians Alaa Shehada, Diana Sweity and Hanna Shammas will be joined by their director Sam Beale (Middlesex University). They will participate in a lively panel, discussing their 2022 tour in Palestine, and demonstrate some of their techniques for generating comedy from personal stories. Audience participation in the workshop is encouraged…but not obligatory.
