Alyssa: Tunisian Film Festival founded by ATUGE UK, the association of top Tunisian professionals in London.
It will pay tribute to Tunisian cinema, often referred to as one of the most daring of all Arab cinemas. The name of the festival is based on the legendary Queen Alyssa (Dido) of Carthage.
We have 4 UK premieres: Bonne Mere by Hafsia Herzi, Fatwa by Mahmoud Ben Mahmoud, Eclypses by Fadhel Jaziri, and On the Crossbar by Sami Tlili, and a multi awarded film, A son by Medhi M. Barsaoui.
All films will be followed by live or virtual Q&A.
